How to achieve painless communication services procurement

March 23, 2026
Panacea Applications and Harringey Council join forces to demonstrate how to streamline and automate communication services procurement

One of the benefits of providing software that brings solutions is that we are also able to build great partnerships and achieve more.

With our help the London Borough of Haringey transformed how they procure communications, design, print, advertising and marketing services. They have an established Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to compliantly manage the work of their busy communication team. The result has been transformative and now in partnership with us, they are looking to offer support to other councils.

On 29 April 2026 we will be hosting an event in partnership with the London Borough of Haringey. Together we will be inviting other public sector organisations to share and benefit from Haringey’s well established DPS to address their communication procurement needs.

Waterloo Road, London, 13:00 – 16:30

With the introduction of the Procurement Act 2023, new DPS arrangements could not be created in the same way as under previous regulations. This made existing DPS agreements such as Haringey’s a valuable opportunity for other councils to access a ready-made, compliant and highly efficient route to market.

At the event they will provide a practical overview of how organisations can benefit from sharing DPS, and we will explain how Panacea Software helped organisations like Haringey Council to automate processes to dramatically reduce administration.

The DPS provides a simple and compliant way to source everything your communication teams may need, including design, print, digital services, photography, copywriting, marketing support and mailing services.

We will demonstrate how organisations using this DPS are achieving:

  • Over 80% reduction in administration time when sourcing and managing communications services
  • Average cost savings of more than 35% through automated mini competitions
  • Avoiding the time and cost of running a full tender, typically saving around £30K in internal staff effort
  • Immediate access to a large pool of pre-qualified suppliers without running your own procurement exercise
  • The ability for your own preferred suppliers and local businesses to join the DPS, supporting your local economy while maintaining open and compliant procurement
  • A continuously expanding supplier marketplace, where new suppliers with the latest technologies can join at any time.

Kate Maguire, Panacea Applications Account Director said: “This event will be a great opportunity for other public sector organisations to learn how they too can streamline and automate communication services procurement saving time and money, by working with us. We are looking forward to working with Haringey on this and excited to see what we can achieve together.”
