The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) is an Executive Agency of the Cabinet Office, supporting the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2018/19, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth £945m - supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
G-Cloud 13
Crown Commercial Service’s framework, G-Cloud 13, replaced G-Cloud 12 in November 2022 and Panaea Software is delighted to be named as a qualified supplier on G-Cloud 13, Lot 2: Cloud Software.
Crown Commercial Service and Frameworks
Crown Commercial Service procurement frameworks provide many benefits to both buyers and suppliers in terms of cost savings, time management, continuous improvement and compliance. The frameworks allow transparent, auditable purchasing, with full conformity to current procurement regulations.
G-Cloud 13 has established framework agreements with service providers and lists those services on a publicly accessible portal known as the Digital Marketplace. Public Sector organisations can call off the services listed on the Digital Marketplace without needing to go through a full tendering process, saving valuable time.
It’s come a long way since its humble beginnings and has seen substantial changes in recent years with the latest offering, G-Cloud 13. In total, there have been thirteen calls for contract, in which suppliers were able to list their services on G-Cloud. The G-Cloud framework is uncapped so, if the application is compliant, an unlimited number of suppliers can join the framework.
Lot 2: Cloud Software (SaaS)
This lot is for applications that are typically accessed over a public or private network. Software as a Service (SaaS) applications are usually accessed over the internet and hosted in the Cloud. All suppliers must offer innovative, cloud-based technologies and no hardware solutions can be listed on this framework.
